Idea Work Drivers

Idea Work Drivers represent a concept for identifying and reflecting upon those elements of an idea work practice that functions particularly well; an aspect of idea work at its best.

Each idea work driver gives a short hand of what it may mean to not only be good, but extraordinary good, at idea work.

The drivers are based on thorough research in Idea Work’s partner organisations, mainly through interviews and various forms of participatory observation.

Each driver is documented on a card illustrated with an image on one side and an accompanying text on the flip side (title, definition, illustrative quotes, tips for good practice and related readings).

The total deck of these driver cards is used in workshops to enrich the language of practice and discuss options for acting and developing.

So far we have identified between 10 and 20 idea work drivers for each of the participating partners. Some of these drivers make up ‘families’- thematically related practices of idea work at its best in several of the partnering firms.

So far we have identified 10 such families of drivers. Read a summary of them in Norwegian and English.

Every month we present a new driver in depth.
